Varun Arjun University and Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra-Shahjahanpur on 17th September 2025, under the guidance and inspiration of Government of India and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji inaugurated “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan – 2025” in a grand manner. On the first day of this 15-day special campaign, a blood donation camp was organized at Varun Arjun Medical College and Blood Bank of Rohilkhand Hospital, in which Doctors, Nurses, students and staff were participated.
The programme began with the traditional ritual of lighting the lamp and cutting of lace by Varun Arjun University’s Pro Vice -Chancellor Dr. L.R. Verma, Principal and Dean Dr. (Col.) R. N. Shukla, Deputy registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Pal and others.
Medical College Principal and Dean Dr. (Col.) Ravindra Nath Shukla expressed his views and said, “Blood donation not only protects the lives of the needy but it also symbolizes humanity and spirit of service.
The guest of honour was B.J.P.’s District Vice President Diwakar Singh, who said “Healthy women are the basis of an empowered family and one strong family.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Pandit Shyama Rao Pawar also spoke on the occasion and said that programmes like blood donation act as a strong bridge between medical institutions and society.
Head of Department of ophthalmology, Dr. (Col.) Girish Mishra, Head of Department of Pathology, Dr. (Col.) Raja Chatterjee, Head, Department of Community Medicine, Dr. Dharmendra Gupta, Head, Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Avinash Lukade, Director, IVF Centre, Dr. K. G. Paul, Deputy- Medical Superintendent Dr. Amit Kumar Singh, Professor, Department of Gynecology, Dr. Nilesh Doshi, Administrative officer Mr. Lalit Chauhan, Deputy Nursing Superintendent Miss Punjika Shukla, Quality Manager Dr. Shivani Gupta and the entire team of the blood bank was present. Staff and a large number of students actively participated in the event. Blood donors said that this work gave them a sense of spiritual peace and pride.
